Legendary golfer Tiger Woods has given his fans hope of returning to the Masters following his severe car accident last year.
The 45-year-old was seen at the Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia earlier this week, where he played 18 holes. PGA Tour pro Justin Thomas, along with Woods’ son, Charlie, also accompanied him.
Due to its length and terrain, Augusta National is often considered one of the more challenging courses to play on, which has many fans speculating that this appearance could signal that Woods is preparing to return to the Masters, which will be played at Augusta on April 7-10, 2022.
Woods has notably not played in a PGA Tournament since the 2020 Masters, which took place in November of that year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. On February 23, 2021, Woods was involved in a serious car crash that left him hospitalized with severe injuries, but after surgery and rehabilitation, he has since mostly recovered, though he is not as active as he once was.

“I wish I could tell you when I’m playing again,” Woods previously said regarding his return. “I want to know, but I don’t. My golf activity has been very limited…I haven’t done any long stuff seriously. I’m still working on the walking part. My foot was a little messed up there about a year ago, so the walking part is something that I’m still working on…It takes time.”
Interestingly, Woods is listed as one of the 91 participants for the upcoming Masters, leading many to believe he will play; however, Woods has not officially announced anything regarding the matter. But his amping up of golf activities, especially playing at the very venue which the Masters will soon commence, may offer a positive indication.
