As if he wasn’t talented enough, Tom Brady is taking the next step in his life following his retirement from the NFL, entering the movie business.
It was announced yesterday (February 23) that Brady is planning to star in a new comedy movie that he will produce, called ’80 For Brady’. While not much is known about the film at this time, it is known that the movie will be a football-themed (of course) road trip comedy, also featuring Rita Moreno, Sally Field, Jane Fonda, and Lily Tomlin.
A concept of the film has been leaked, which involves four women (played by the aforementioned actresses) taking a road trip down south to watch Tom Brady play in Super Bowl LI. This Super Bowl was infamous for Brady and the Patriots surmounting a 28-3 deficit against the Atlanta Falcons, in what was the biggest comeback in Super Bowl History, and one of the largest comebacks in NFL history.

The movie will be produced by Brady’s production company, 199 Productions, which he founded in March 2020, mere days before the pandemic began, while he was still playing in the NFL. The name of his production company comes from his draft selection number, as he was selected 199th overall in the 2000 NFL Draft.
’80 For Brady’ is being written by Kyle Marvin and Michael Covino, with Marvin also directing the piece. The film will ultimately be made by Paramount Pictures, with assistance from Endeavor Content. As of this point, there is no set release date for the film, but production is set to begin in the spring.
