Vanessa Bryant is remembering her late husband, Kobe Bryant, on what would be their 21st wedding anniversary.
In a throwback instagram post on Monday (April 18), the NBA stars wife wrote, “I love you forever, baby. Happy anniversary @kobebryant #21.” The caption ended with two red hearts at the end of it.
Bryant has since been flooded with supportive comments from her famous friends like Kerry Washington, Khloe Kardashian and Storm Reid, all of them commenting red hearts.
The two got married on April 18, 2001 in an intimate wedding at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church in Dana Point, CA. They went on to have four children together, Natalia, Gianna (Gigi), Bianka and Capri.
On January 26, 2020, tragedy struck the family when the helicopter carrying Kobe, 13-year-old Gigi and seven others crashed into a hillside in Calabasas, CA. The group was on their way from Orange County to a basketball tournament at Bryants Sports Academy in Thousand Oaks.
In an 86-page report released in February of last year, the NTSB concluded the pilot, Ara Zobayan, was most likely to blame for the crash. The safety board says Zobayan became disoriented after flying into low clouds, and mistakenly flew into the hillside when he was trying to correct the error.
On the day of their anniversary, every year since Kobe has passed, Vanessa has taken to Instagram to celebrate their love. Last year, she posted a photo from their wedding captioning it, “Happy Anniversary, baby. I love you. 20 years.” She ended the caption with a red heart.
We miss Kobe every day and hope Vanessa is staying strong during this difficult time.
