Vernon Davis Talks Super Bowl Party, Post-Retirement Films, and Juicy Secrets (Exclusive)

Former NFL tight end Vernon Davis is a man of many talents!

The 38-year-old, who retired from play in February 2020, recently attended the ABG Entertainment and Talent Resources Sports Presents Sports Illustrated The Party x Palm Tree Crew at Super Bowl LVI  in Los Angeles, where he revealed he was rooting for the Los Angeles Rams to win the Super Bowl – but from the comfort of his couch! As an NFL pro and Super Bowl 50 champion, he offered some advice for the players partaking in the country’s biggest game.

“I think if [the players] can just remain calm and just play together, and just take it one play at a time, everything else will take care of itself,” Davis told Celeb Secrets host Juliet Schroder on the red carpet.

Davis also opened up about the plethora of movies and television shows he has become a part of since retirement, including A Day to Die and Domino Masters on FOX. For Davis, these projects all encapsulate what he wants his post-retirement life to be, and what his “next step” will involve.

“I’m two years removed from playing ball,” he said. “For me, I wanted to take a big step into doing whatever it is that I’m going to be doing for the next, forty, fifty years. So this is it, one project at a time, and here we go.”

Davis also revealed a few of his many hidden talents, including making music, painting, and even writing poetry! He says that FOX allowed him to write to a beat and perform on one of his upcoming shows. It’s safe to say that Davis is enjoying his post-retirement life, and in the meantime, will continue to create film projects and partake in other activities he is passionate about.
