Wait—PBS?! The “Phineas and Ferb” Creators Just Roasted John Oliver for Getting THIS Fact Hilariously Wrong (Watch)

Looks like someone’s getting busted… and it’s not Phineas or Ferb.

In one of the most unexpected (and hilarious) celebrity “feuds” of 2025, Last Week Tonight host John Oliver is catching some seriously animated heat from the creators of Phineas and Ferb — and no, this isn’t an episode of Doofenshmirtz Evil Incorporated.

The British comedian appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen last week, where he dished on what his kids have been watching lately. His answer? Phineas and Ferb, of course! Oliver was all praise, calling it “genuinely funny” with “some good jokes in that.”

So far, so good… until Andy asked where the show airs.

Oliver’s answer? “I don’t know… PBS?”

Cue the record scratch.

Let’s just say Dan Povenmire and Jeff “Swampy” Marsh, the masterminds behind the hit series, were not about to let that slide. (We know what they’re gonna do today!) The duo, currently deep in the lab with their writing team prepping for the new season of Phineas and Ferb, took to Instagram to call out the flub in the most on-brand way possible — with a playful roast that only the P&F team could pull off.

“We were PBS-level offended,” they joked in a video response. “But if John wants to guest star as Lord British Confusionstein, we’re listening.”

While it’s all love between the two parties (no real drama here — sorry, Kendrick and Drake), this light-hearted “beef” just gave fans one more reason to get hyped about the return of Phineas and Ferb this summer.

ICYMI, we already freaked out when Disney announced earlier this month that the beloved animated series is officially back with new episodes, premiering June 5 on Disney Channel and June 6 on Disney+. And yes — we definitely know what we’re gonna do this summer.

The new season brings back all your faves — including Phineas (Vincent Martella), Ferb (David Errigo Jr.), Candace (Ashley Tisdale), Dr. Doofenshmirtz (Dan Povenmire), Isabella (Alyson Stoner), Perry the Platypus (Dee Bradley Baker), Linda (Caroline Rhea), and Major Monogram (Swampy Marsh) — as they dive headfirst into another 104 days of summer vacation.

Candace is still trying to bust her brothers, Perry’s back to fighting evil in the shadows, and Doofenshmirtz is… well, probably cooking up a new -inator.

And now, maybe John Oliver will make an animated cameo too?

One thing’s for sure: the Phineas and Ferb team never misses a moment to turn pop culture into pure comedy gold — and this roast was no exception.

Until June, we’ll be rewatching the OG seasons (on Disney+, not PBS ) and keeping an eye out for more iconic creator clapbacks.
