Grace Mitchell just dropped the music video for her song “Kids (Ain’t All Right)” and we’re absolutely in love with it!
The 19-year-old singer takes us back to the 70s with the new visual and shows how bad-ass she really is.
Here’s what Mitchell says about the video:
“A commemoration of 1970s punk rock, and a visual homage to its influence in the contemporary age of art, fashion, and music based on the socio-political climate of that era and it’s parallels to the modern age. This zine lyric video is my interpretation of youthful frustration in the form of angsty art zine collages I grew up reading and enjoying.â€
Grace Mitchell is a force to be reckoned with. At only 19 years old, she has already made a name for herself in the industry with her hit track “NOLO†performed on the international Apple Music Festival opening for The Weeknd, CMJ, SXSW, Austin City Limits, Bonnaroo & Coachella, performing with JoyWave & St. Lucia on tour, and having “Jitter†crowned “World Record†by Zane Lowe – she continued to dominate with her critically acclaimed RACEDAY EP.
Portland raised Mitchell signed to Republic Records in 2013, and officially entered the race with her cover of “Maneater,†which appeared on the soundtrack to the critically acclaimed The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. Her debut EP, Design, got the blogs buzzing in 2014 which included fan favorite “Broken Over You.â€
In 2017, Grace Mitchell is set to release her debut album, perform at Coachella, and kick the music industry in the ass.
