What You Missed From SHINee Taemin’s Solo Online Concert

K-Pop’s ace and SHINee member, Taemin had his first live stream solo concert, N.G.D.A (named after his third full-length album Never Gonna Dance Again, released last year), this past Sunday and drew over 90,000 viewers across the globe.

The 27-year-old global star wowed on stage with a 21-song long setlist, made up of an array of his solo songs and hypnotizing choreography, which showcased precisely why Taemin is known as one of K-Pop’s best.

The setlist included hits such as “Move” (2017), “Danger” (2014), “Goodbye” (2016), “Criminal” (2020), and a debut performance of the title track for his new upcoming album, Advice, which the singer announced will be released later this month on May 18.

Taemin’s performance reached new levels of artistry, as the singer performed many of his songs on an elevated (and at some points slanted) stage, all while maintaining his steady vocals and intricate dance moves. He also included his iconic performance of “Door,” where he’s not only blindfolded but also bounded up, while on a 90-degree angled stage.

On top of the setlist and choreography, the artist also rocked a long silver-black hair-do with his multiple outfit changes that matched the vibe of each song, our personal favorite was the blue, velvet suit that had a lace back.

The youngest member of SHINee made sure to include some beautiful pre-recorded VCR videos, where he showed off more of his delicate and striking dance skills – as well as a medley video of all of his historic hits, solo and group releases. The quick video included a nice nostalgic touch to the live stream.

Taemin debuted as part of SHINee back in 2008 and had his solo debut in 2014. He is also a member of SM’s supergroup SuperM, which is made up of members from existing groups EXO (Baekhyun and Kai), SHINee (Taemin), and NCT (TaeyongMarkTen, and Lucas).

His solo gig comes after SHINee’s first-ever online concert in April and SuperM’s online show back in April of last year. It also serves as the artist’s parting gift to his fans before he leaves to serve his mandatory military service on May 31.
