On Monday, September 26, Cleveland Browns three-time pro bowl defensive end Myles Garrett was involved in a car crash. Thankfully, Garrett did not suffer any broken bones from the crash and was discharged from the hospital on Monday night.
The 2017 NFL Draft number one overall pick was allegedly driving down a wet road and noticed an animal; therefore, to avoid hitting the animal, he tried to switch to a different lane but ended up swerving, and his car flipped multiple times, according to Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network.

More tests coming. The good news is Garrett’s injuries aren’t life-threatening. He swerved to avoid an animal on a wet road and overcorrected. Car flipped multiple times. Could’ve been worse.

It is great to hear that Garrett was trying to avoid harm to an animal, and thankfully, this story ends positively due to Garrett being fine.
Garrett’s agent, Nicole Lynn, released a statement via social media sharing that Myles was alert and responsive.

Garrett currently has three sacks on the season, a forced fumble, and a couple of tackles. The Browns will be taking on the Atlanta Falcons this week and may have to do so without the anchor of their defensive line. If Garrett does not play, then we can be sure that his teammates will do all they can to win for him and give it their all, and if he does play, it would be incredible just days after being in a car crash.
Overall, we are just grateful that Garrett is healthy and home, and we wish him all the best going forward. It will be an incredible moment for football fans worldwide whenever he returns to the football field.
