Lights, camera, action! The Selling Sunset realtors and their drama were back together in one room this weekend filming the first-ever reunion.
The cast of the reality TV show had to do some binge watching of their own if they wanted to catchup on season 5 before the taping of the reunion. The season dropped on Thursday (April 22) and filming for the reunion started on Sunday (April 24).
Queer Eye’s Tan France will be the host of the special episode joined by most of the cast. In attendance was Chrishell Stause, Heather Rae El Moussa, Mary Fitzgerald, Emma Hernan, Davina Potraz, Chelsea Lozkani, Maya Vander and Natalie Villela. Amanza Smith joined her cast mates remotely because she tested positive for Coronavirus.
“I have COVID so I will be joining them via zoom from my kitchen/ living room,” Smith said on her Instagram Story while waiting to film. “I have to say, I look a whole lot better than I feel.”
It seems the interior decorator and real estate agent was only there for a portion of the reunion taping. She made a comment on her stories sharing that she filmed “a little bit of the reunion” and called it a “three minute thing.”
Fans will be disappointed to hear Christine Quinn was not at the reunion considering most of season 5, and past seasons at that, have revolved around Quinn’s drama with the other ladies in the Oppenheim Group.
Emma Hernan was on E! Daily Pop this morning (April 25) where she addressed Quinns absence from the reunion, “we couldn’t clear up all the things that needed to be cleared.”
According to TMZ, Christine did not show up because she also tested positive for COVID-19. The Selling Sunset star’s rep told TMZ that producers offered to have Christine join in remotely, but she apparently declined because she wasn’t feeling well enough.
“There’s been tears, there’s been a lot,” Heather Rae El Moussa shared on her Instagram Stories during a break between filming. “You guys are going to love it. It’s a lot of stuff you guys have never seen.”
Rae El Moussa had the support of her HGTV star husband, Tarek El Moussa during filming. He sat in the audience for moral support, claiming his butt went numb from sitting on a metal chair for so long.
According to Rae El Moussa, her day started at 5:00 AM. She and Chrishell Stause both took to instagram to share that their day had not ended until midnight.
“Longest day everrrrrr,” Stause wrote on her Instagram story. “Feel like I got spat out of a tornado. I love our crazy family though.”
There’s a lot to unpack from season 5, between the highs to the lows, the high-end luxury real estate realtors will be talking about it all.
“It’s a lot of emotions,” Rae El Moussa said. “You guys are going to love the reunion.”
