You is officially returning to Netflix this fall with Joe (Penn Badgley) and Love (Victoria Pedretti) as parents, and we couldn’t be more excited about it.
The show will continue on with where season 2 concluded with Joe falling into old habits, obsessing over girl next door Natalie (Michaela McManus) in the suburbs of California while dealing with “mom-fluencers,” snobby rich entrepreneurs and new librarians. Despite also having a child and being with Love, Joe seems to be having troubles as a first-time father with his baby son, Henry, as revealed in the teaser.
When it comes to his relationship though, he’s still frightened by Love’s commitment and impulsiveness to do things for those she loves. However, that won’t stop him for searching for his new conquest.
“It’s kind of like old patterns and habits.” Badgley tells TVLine. “We recognize them more as we get older, and we often find that they’re extremely hard to break. Maybe that’s what we’re seeing with him? His particular cycle is so awful. Technically, he has improved. Yes, he was going to kill Love, but he stopped when she told him she was pregnant. I really don’t know what’s in store there.”
With familiar faces such as Dottie, Love’s mom and ‘glamma’ (Saffron Burrow) making a return, viewers will be seeing some new characters stir the pot. New cast members include: Shalita Grant as Sherry, Travis Van Winkle as Cary, Scott Speedman as Matthew, Scott Michael Foster as Ryan, and Ben Mehl as Dante.
You season 3 will be released October 15 on Netflix. Let us know if you’re excited for it by either leaving a reaction at the bottom of the post or by sending us a tweet at @celebsecrets.
