Our favorite Moordale High students are back!
Netflix has provided a first look into the upcoming third season of their show, Sex Education. According to Deadline, the log line of the season details new and exciting scenarios for Otis and the gang.
The log line reads, “It’s a new year, Otis is having casual sex, Eric and Adam are official, and Jean has a baby on the way. Meanwhile, new headteacher Hope (played by Jemima Kirke) tries to return Moordale to a pillar of excellence, Aimee discovers feminism, Jackson gets a crush and a lost voicemail still looms. Prepare for commitment animals, alien phenomena, vulva cupcakes and much more of Madam Groff.”
Sex Education follows the lives of high school students who attend Moordale Secondary School. The main character, Otis, is highly knowledgable in sex education because his mother, Jean, is a sex therapist. Otis uses this information to his advantage by partnering up with his friend, Maeve, to open up a sex therapy clinic at school. Many students sign up for the clinic seeking advice on their sexual experiences.
Through the many characters and their stories, the show is able to cover a multitude of topics which include sex positivity, exploration of sexual identity, sexual assault, and queer experiences to name a few. The show’s ensemble cast stars actors such as Asa Butterfield, Ncuti Gatwa, Emma Mackey, Gillian Anderson, Aimee Lou Wood, Connor Swindells, Kedar Williams-Stirling, and more. They also added Jason Isaacs, Dua Saleh, and Indra Ové for the season.
In a gallery posted to the show’s Instagram page, we see exclusive behind the scenes film photos taken by Tanya Reynolds (who plays Lily on the show). All of the actors are dressed in school uniforms, which is a notable change as they never wore uniforms in the previous seasons.

We’re excited to see what’s in store for these characters! The third season of Sex Education will release on Netflix on September 17th.
