At long last, Louisiana rapper Frank Ocean has finally confirmed that we can expect his sophomore album Boys Don’t Cry to drop this month, aka, at any given time.
On his official site, Ocean brought back an old post from July 2015 that suggested the LP would be out that month. For his revamped post, Frank captioned, “I got two versions. I got twoooo versions”. Can I get a hallelujah?!
Ocean also published yet another post Saturday (July 2) talking about how the album was pushed back multiple times and suggesting the new release date to occur some time this month. To further prove the possibility, Ocean’s brother Ryan Breaux has taken to his Instagram and posted the same photo of the library timeout card with the caption, “BOYS DON’T CRY #JULY2016”.
Earlier this year, Ocean’s producer Malay hinted that it was “maybe a month away” which got everyone buzzing. Other people – including Chance The Rapper and James Blake – have commented on how creating the album was like “making a masterpiece” and how it’s “better” than Ocean’s 2012 debut Channel Orange.
Do you think Frank Ocean will keep his word this time or will we be waiting another year? Sound off in the comments!
