When Gilmore Girls premiered in 2000, Rory Gilmore (Alexis Bledel) best friend and her best friend Lane Kim (Keiko Agena) were both 16. While Bledel was just slightly older being 19 at the time, Agena was 11 years older than her character at age 27. Both actresses continued with the show throughout its run and appeared in the 2016 reboot Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life.
