“Hold On” for the ride! Adele finally addressed fans’ worries by letting them know that her Las Vegas Residency is in fact happening this year.
In a preview posted of her recent appearance on The Graham Norton Show, the “I Drink Wine” singer talked about the real reason she postponed her residency back in January. Although all hands were on deck, Adele said that the show wasn’t up to the standards she wanted for fans.
“It would have been a really half-arsed show and I can’t do that,” she explained. “People will see straight through me up on the stage… I’ve never done anything like that in my life and I’m not going to start now. We are now working our arses off, but I don’t want to announce a new set of dates until I know everything will definitely be ready,”
The singer then revealed that her show will “100 percent” happen this year, due to the fact she wants to expand her family.
“It is absolutely 100% happening this year,” the 33-year-old revealed. “It has to happen this year because I’ve got plans for next year. Imagine if I have to cancel because I am having a baby!”
Adele is already a mom to her 9-year-old son Angelo, but her baby bomb drop comes just a few days after the singers BRIT Awards appearance. During her appearance fans and viewers began to suspect the “Easy on Me” singer may be engaged to her current boyfriend and sports agent Rich Paul, due to the fact that she wore a large diamond ring on her ring finger.
When asked about her possible engagement, Adele gave a private but cheeky answer to show host Graham Norton.
“If I was, would I ever tell anyone if I was or wasn’t?” the singer jokes.
