The second season will “explore storylines that go beyond the original source material to illuminate the uncanny friendship between Aziraphale, a fussy angel and rare book dealer, and the fast-living demon Crowley,” said the producers in a statement to Amazon Prime. “Having been on Earth since The Beginning and with the Apocalypse thwarted, Aziraphale and Crowley are getting back to easy living amongst mortals in London’s Soho when an unexpected messenger presents a surprising mystery.”

Neil Gaiman served as executive producer on the first season and he will continue this role in the second season, working alongside fellow executive producer Douglas MackinnonMichael Sheen and David Tennant are set to reprise their roles as the angel Aziraphale and demon Crowley.

The first season was released on Amazon Prime in May 2019. In addition to Sheen and Tennant, the first season’s cast included Jon Hamm, Nick Offerman, Jack Whitehall, Miranda Richardson, Adria Arjona, Michael McKean, Anna Maxwell Martin, and Mireille Enos.

Based on the 1990 horror-comedy book by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman, Good Omens is a comedy about the birth of the son of Satan and the approaching “End Times.” Angel Aziraphale and demon Crowley, an unlikely duo, pair up in attempts to sabotage the coming of the end times.
