Award-winning actress Anne Hathaway will portray a pop star in an upcoming A24-produced film titled Mother Mary. Hathaway will star alongside Michaela Coel in the David Lowery-directed flick.

Mother Mary is centered around the relationship between a pop star and an iconic fashion designer. The connection between Hathaway’s character and a fashion designer has fans reminiscing about her time in the legendary movie, The Devil Wears Prada. Hathaway starred alongside Merryl Streep in the famous fashion film.
Most recently, Hathaway has starred in She Came to Me and Eileen. Hathaway is also known for her iconic roles in films such as The Princess Diaries, The Intern alongside Robert De Niro, and the film version of Les Misérables.
As for Coel, she is known for her roles in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, I May Destroy You, and Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi. Lowery, is best known for directing Pete’s Dragon and The Old Man & the Gun.
Something of note in relation to Hathaway’s character, original music for the film will be produced by Taylor Swift’s longtime producer and friend, Jack Antonoff and music star Charli XCX.
