Big Time Rush is back and better than ever! The beloved boy band made some big-time waves today (December 13) with the announcement of their first new song in nearly eight years.
Their new single, “Call It Like See It,” has notable harmonies, a dance-worthy sound and fantastic lyrics. Allow us to call it like we hear it — this new jam was totally worth the wait.
According to a press release, the new song marks the beginning of a whole new chapter for the group.
“We couldn’t be more excited to share our first single ‘Call It Like I See It,’” the band said. “After months of hard work recording and rehearsing, we are thrilled to finally kick off this brand-new chapter for us as a band.”
And for all of us eager Big Time Rush fans, it seems this new chapter is kicking off as of right now! The group will be performing “Call It Like I See It” tonight (Dec. 13) on the Philadelphia stop of the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour presented by Capital One.
According to the release, “the single instantly received hundreds of thousands of pre-saves and a rehearsal video of the band went viral on TikTok, receiving almost 10 million views since posting.”

It’s no surprise that millions of fans are ready for this group to officially reconnect. Celeb Secrets has had a pulse on this wish for quite some time.
Back in 2018, Celeb Secrets chatted with Kendall Schmidt at the 102.7 KIIS FM’s Jingle Ball in Los Angeles after Carlos PenaVega sent the Internet into a frenzy by posting this caption on Instagram.
“9 years ago my life changed forever. Thank you to everyone who has supported me since then! Can’t wait for the next 9! Shall we do a 10 year reunion tour next year?! ;)”
When asked about this enticing Instagram post, Schmidt dished to Celeb Secrets that he was ready for a reunion!
“Well I don’t have anything specific,” teased Schmidt. “All I know is Carlos said something. I’m down so we just gotta get the other guys!”
Making good on that claim, the boys virtually reunited by creating a video where they performed their hit “Worldwide” from their homes in 2020. Check out the touching video below.
As if that collab wasn’t a BTR fan’s dream come true, the boys upped the ante when they recently announced not one, but TWO, reunion concerts for December 2021!
Big Time Rush has been set to take the stage at the Chicago Theater in Illinois on December 15, followed by Hammerstein Ballroom in New York on December 18. With such a huge fanbase behind them, both concerts sold out in a matter of minutes!
For all the fans out there who didn’t snag a ticket to these incredible shows, “We Are” told that “Big Time Rush” will soon be performing way more now that they have new original music out!
According to the release, fans can anticipate Big Time Rush bringing on more new music and performances in 2022. Can we say, “Oh Yeah”!
