BLACKPINK member, Rosé, receives high praise from musician John Mayer for her cover of his song, “Slow Dancing in a Burning Room.”
According to Billboard, the K-pop star performed the song for the Korean variety show, Sea of Hope. The exhibition brings together musicians to perform for one another. A guitarist and keyboardist join the singer for her heartfelt performance. Towards the end of the song, SHINee’s Onew and AKMU’s Lee Su-hyun chime in as backing vocalists.
A day after the video went viral, Mayer took to social media to share his thoughts on the cover. In a quote tweet of the video, he said, “This is gorgeous @ygofficialblink #rosÉ.”

Mayer is joined by tons of fans on Twitter who are also enjoying the cover. One user tweeted, “listening to rosé’s cover of slow dancing in a burning room with noise cancellation feels entirely heavenly.”

The popular K-pop girl group recently announced that they would be putting out a movie this summer! As reported by Billboard, BLACKPINK The Movie will be released to celebrate their five-year anniversary as a group. The film will accompany another project they have planned, which is known as the 4+1 PROJECT. Both will be released sometime in August.
