Camila Cabello Releases Single “Don’t Go Yet” – Listen Now

New music from Camila Cabello is finally here!

The multiplatinum singer/songwriter dropped her latest single, “Don’t Go Yet,” today (Friday, July 23), along with a music video directed by Philippa Price and Pilar Zeta. The track marks her first release in almost two years.

The song was co-written by the 24-year-old singer, plus Scott Harris, Ricky Reed, and Mike Sabath. Produced by Sabath and Reed, Don’t Go Yet is an upbeat salsa song that includes live percussion by Cuban drummer Pedro Martinez

The video shows Camila driving in a car and listening to music on the radio. The car then morphs into a toy car and drives up a dirt road to a home with her friends and family members. Camila joins the vibrant party inside and starts singing and dancing to “Don’t Go Yet.”

The lyrics in the song seem to be her yearning for someone at the party to stay.

She sings, “Baby, don’t go yet, ‘cause I wore this dress for a lil’ drama.” This single gives us a great taste of her upcoming third full-length studio album.

The track is the first taste of Camila’s new album, Familia, which is set to be released later this year.  It follows her 2019 platinum album, Romance.

In addition to dropping new music, Camila is set to join the 2021 edition of Global Citizens Live, a 24-hour virtual event starting on September 25. The event will see performances from BTS, Doja Cat, Billie Eilish, Metallica, and many more.
