FAVORITE MALE SINGER: Drake, Justin Bieber, Bruno Mars, Shawn Mendes, Justin Timberlake, The Weeknd

WHO WE THINK WILL WIN: Shawn Mendes might be the lucky winner this year! Since Justin Bieber’s social media drama and lack of interaction with his fans, we believe Shawn’s total of 7 charted singles might bring him to the top this year! Noticed on social media by his young female supporters, the talented singer-songwriter’s evolution is quite impressive. Having collaborated with Camila Cabello in 2016 and hitting the top 20 with both ‘Treat you Better’ and ‘Mercy’ over the last year, Shawn shows no signs of slowing down and might very well be this year’s favorite.

FAVORITE FEMALE SINGER: Adele, Beyoncé, Ariana Grande, Selena Gomez, Rihanna, Meghan Trainor

WHO WE THINK WILL WIN: Whilst Selena Gomez stands a very good chance AND Ariana’s music has evolved to be leading more towards R&B, we believe Nickelodeon fans will remain faithful to the beautiful petite pop diva, who debuted her career on this very channel. Ariana’s music may be a little mature and edgier, her fan base hasn’t stopped growing and we are expecting even bigger things from her this coming year.

FAVORITE MUSIC GROUP: The Chainsmokers, Fifth Harmony, Maroon 5, OneRepublic, Pentatonix, Twenty One Pilots

WHO WE THINK WILL WIN: Fifth Harmony might come out on top, despite having lost a member just recently. However, this has insured their constant presence in the media and their music has just been on point this year! Note: The Chainsmokers have had an incredibly successful year, however, their music seems to be targeted more towards night life enthusiasts, despite their incredible radio success… We would love to see how this one turns out…

FAVORITE GLOBAL MUSIC STAR: 5 Seconds of Summer (Australia/New Zealand), BIGBANG (Asia), Bruno Mars (North America), Little Mix (U.K.), Shakira (South America), Zara Larsson (Europe)

WHO WE THINK WILL WIN: Could Little Mix win this category? This might be huge year for them, especially after having just won their very first Brit Award! The four girls are the definition of #FriendshipGoals and always look like they are having the best time on stage and in their videos. Plus, haven’t we all wanted a pop anthem calling out our exes or ex crushes to sing along to?

FAVORITE NEW ARTIST: Kelsea Ballerini, The Chainsmokers, Daya, Lukas Graham, Solange, Rae Sremmurd, Hailee Steinfeld, Twenty One Pilots

WHO WE THINK WILL WIN: Her single ‘Starving’ has been the song on everybody’s lips and stuck in everyone’s head! The 19-year old is even lucky enough to be a part of the Taylor Swift squad, including some of our favorite celebs such as: Karlie Kloss and Gigi Hadid! This girl seems to have it figured out when it comes to her career and personal life, and we are excited to see what the future holds for her!

FAVORITE SONG: “24K Magic” – Bruno Mars, “Can’t Stop the Feeling!” – Justin Timberlake, “Heathens” – Twenty One Pilots, “Send My Love (To Your New Lover) – Adele, “Side to Side” – Ariana Grande feat. Nicki Minaj, “Work From Home” – Fifth Harmony feat. Ty Dolla $ign

WHO WE THINK WILL WIN: This has to be the toughest category to predict! For us, it’s a tie between Bruno Mars’ 24K Magic and Fifth Harmony’s ‘Work from Home’. They are both such great tracks to sing along to, dance along to, and relate to at the same time!

FAVORITE VIRAL MUSIC ARTIST: Carson Lueders, Jacob Sartorius, Johnny Orlando, Jojo Siwa, Matty B, Tiffany Alvord

WHO WE THINK WILL WIN: Jojo has been killing it recently, exploring exploring so many different aspects of the industry! Having recently collaborated with Claire’s accessories for the launch of her infamous bows, she has also starred in ‘The Not So Valentines Special’ – we believe Nickelodeon fans are probably going to support the former Dance Moms star!

FAVORITE SOUNDTRACK: Hamilton, Me Before You, Moana, Sing, Suicide Squad, Trolls

WHO WE THINK WILL WIN: Who doesn’t love a good movie soundtrack! While we were singing along to all of these tunes this year, one that kids could not stop talking about was Moana. Musical genius Lin-Manuel Miranda is loved by all, which makes us believe kids will come through and vote for the kid-friendly, and fun movie soundtrack.

FAVORITE DJ / EDM ARTIST: Calvin Harris, DJ Snake, Major Lazer, Martin Garrix, Skrillex, Zedd

WHO WE THINK WILL WIN: This is a tough category to predict when it comes to Kid’s Choice, especially considering EDM artists are very much involved in the club scene. However, purely because of amazing collaborations with pop stars Hailey Steinfeld and Alessia Cara, we are leaning towards Zedd for this one.

FAVORITE MUSIC VIDEO: “24k Magic” – Bruno Mars, “Can’t Stop the Feeling” – Justin Timberlake, “Formation” – Beyonce, “Juju On That Beat” – Zay Hilfigerrr & Zayion McCall, “Me too” – Meghan Trainor, “Stressed Out” – Twenty One Pilots

WHO WE THINK WILL WIN: We absolutely love the colorful vibes and really bubbly feel of Justin’s ‘Can’t Stop the Feeling.’ Watching all the characters dance and the positive energy portrayed has to make this a favorite, amongst kids and the grown ups too! Overall, ‘Can’t Stop the Feeling’ is ‘feel good’ song and the video is no exception! Not to mention how charming Justin looks, as per usual… 🙂

FAVORITE MUSIC GROUP: Fifth Harmony, Maroon 5, OneRepublic, Pentatonix, The Chainsmokers, Twenty One Pilots

WHO WE THINK WILL WIN: Despite dealing with the aftermath of Camila’s choice to leave the group, Fifth Harmony are still in their supporter’s hearts. They have blossomed into such beautiful young women and artists this year, releasing their best material yet! Their music has been getting constant radio spins, as well as 3 singles topping the charts multiple weeks in a row throughout 2016. Plus, their music videos are just perfection!
