Cole Sprouse and Lana Condor are heading up and out of this world onto the planet of Mars in the upcoming sci-fi romantic comedy, Moonshot.
The Hollywood Reporter reported that the HBO Max film will follow Sophie (Condor), a focused and buttoned-up college student whose boyfriend, Calvin, decided to move to Mars, which, in this universe, has been built to sustain human life and “colonized by the best humanity has to offer.” Sophie decides to go after her boyfriend and make her way to Mars.
Although Sprouse’s character in the film is yet to be confirmed, Deadline has posted a statement regarding the film which has hinted at his characters part in the movie: “Two very different college students wind up joining forces and sneak onboard a space shuttle to the red planet in order to be united with their significant others.”

Highlighted in the comments section is a comment from the “timeless” Condor herself, showing love and excitement to work with her newest co-star saying, “Let’s goooooo 🚀🚀.”
Chris Winterbauer will be directing the film, and attached to HBO Max will be Riverdale executive producers Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter, who will produce through Berlanti/ Schechter Films.
