CelebSecrets4U’s coverage on season eight of The Voice is almost coming to a close
The season eight finale is one week we will never forget! For the final performance night, the Top 4, Team Pharrell‘s Sawyer Fredricks and Koryn Hawthorne, Team Adam‘s Joshua Davis, and Team Blake‘s Meghan Linsey, sang three songs for America’s votes– final songs, duets with their coaches and original songs.
Team Pharrell‘s Koryn Hawthorne was the first artist to sing for America’s votes, performing her rendition of “It’s a Man’s Man’s Man’s World” by James Brown. Following Hawthorne, Team Adam‘s Joshua Davis performed “Hallelujah” by Leonard Cohen, Team Blake‘s Meghan Linsey performed “When A Man Loves A Woman” by Percy Sledge, and Team Pharrell‘s Sawyer Fredericks performed “Old Man” by Neil Young.
For duets, Pharrell performed “We Can Work It Out” and “Summer Breeze” with Koryn and Sawyer, respectively, Blake Shelton performed “Freeway Of Love” with Meghan, and Adam Levine performed “Diamonds on The Soles of Her Shoes” with Joshua.
For originals, Koryn Hawthorne performed “Bright Fire” which was written for her by coach Pharrell, Joshua Davis performed “The Workingman’s Hymn,” which he wrote himself about growing up in Detroit, Meghan Linsey performed “Change My Mind” which she wrote herself, and Sawyer Fredericks performed “Please,” which was written by Ray LaMontagne.
