WATCH: American Idol’s Top 4 Perform Sia’s Hits
On Thursday’s episode, the Top 5 — Dalton Rapattoni, La’Porsha Renae, MacKenzie Bourg, Trent Harmon, and Sonika Vaid — performed a rock song and a song from this week’s mentor Sia to stay in the competition for one more week. Each contestant performed two songs, except for Sonika Vaid, who was eliminated after having the lowest votes last week.
In addition to the contestants, Idol winner David Cook performed his new single “Heartbeat” and season two runner-up Katharine McPhee reprised her awe-inspiring version of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.” This week’s mentor Sia also took the stage to perform her new single “Cheap Thrills.”
