Jenna Ushkowitz
While she has not released any music, Jenna Ushkowitz has influenced the music scene in other ways. In 2016, she replaced Kimiko Glenn in the role of Dawn in Waitress on Broadway, which she gave us all a taste of when she appeared on YouTube’s “Stars in the House” in 2020 and dedicated her performance to costar Nick Cordero, who later lost his battle to COVID-19. She also appeared in the musical film Hello Again alongside Audra McDonald and Glee co-star Cheyenne Jackson in 2017. Ushkowitz won a Tony Award in 2017 for producing Once on This Island (which featured Glee star Alex Newell) and went on to produce the musical Be More Chill in 2019.
