Love is in the air for pop rocker Demi Lovato.
Jordan “Jutes” Lutes has officially been upgraded from “f boyfriend” to fiancé after popping the question during a personal and intimate proposal in LA, according to PEOPLE. It’s warm for the winter for the happy couple.
On Sunday (December 17th), “the Cool For The Summer” singer shared on her social media pages that she is newly engaged to Canadian songwriter after going public last August. She gushed, “Last night was the best night of my life and I can’t believe I get to marry the love of my life. My love, I’m beyond excited to marry you. Every day I’ve spent with you has been a dream come true and I can’t wait to love and cherish you forever. Here’s to the rest of our lives. I love you baby.”

The pair met writing Lovato’s single “Substance” – Lutes calling it “one of my fav songs I’ve ever worked on” – for her critically-acclaimed record Holy Fvck. He’s also seen as a co-writer on the album’s “Happy Ending” and “City of Angels.”
On working with Lovato, “When i got asked to pull up and write for this session i remember thinking wtf am i supposed to do in a demi lovato session? only to show up and realize she was making one of the hardest rock projects i’ve ever heard,” he continued. “obviously a crazy milestone for me but beyond that i feel so blessed to be a part of something i’m such a big fan of.”
The singer told SiriusXM’s The Morning Mash Up that their relationship I grew organically from their budding friendship. She says, “We became friends first. We were friends for several months and then we decided to start dating and well, after we told each other how we felt. Yeah, I’m super happy, and he’s my best friend.”
Lutes confirmed the news on his own page saying, “Yesterday, I asked my best friend to marry me and she said yes. I can’t imagine my life without you and thank god now I’ll never have to. Feeling like the luckiest man alive right now. I’m so in love with you @ddlovato.”
