Dolphins and Eagles Remain Only Unbeaten Teams After Giants Lose to Cowboys on Monday Night Football

After losing 23-16 to the Dallas Cowboys, the New York Giants suffered their first loss of the season; therefore, the Miami Dolphins and Philadelphia Eagles remain the only undefeated teams in the league. The Dolphins take on the Bengals on Thursday Night Football, while the Eagles take on the Jaguars on Sunday.

The Giants had a disappointing effort that included allowing their quarterback Daniel Jones to be pressured 24 times which is the most QB pressures permitted so far this season. It was clear that the key to this Cowboys victory was their domination of the Giants offensive line; even in plays where certain members of the Cowboys defensive line were doubled-teamed, they would still get close to sacking Jones.

As for Miami and Philadelphia, it is incredible to see the only undefeated teams in football being led by two former Alabama Crimson Tide quarterbacks. Tua Tagovailoa and Jalen Hurts had great careers at Alabama; Tagovailoa replaced Hurts in the second half of the 2018 College Football Playoff National Championship to lead Alabama to a 26-23 come-from-behind victory against the Georgia Bulldogs.

Tagovailoa and Hurts are currently at the top of the league in passing yards as Tagovailoa is presently second in the passing yards category with 925 yards through the air, while Hurts is right behind him at third with 916 passing yards.

Hurts and Tagovailoa will look to help lead their teams to another victory as the Dolphins go up against Joe Burrow and the Bengals, while the Eagles face off against Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars.
