FILMORE’s Dream Collab with Pitbull is Coming Just in Time for the Fourth of July Weekend (Exclusive)

“Nothing’s Better” than making your dreams come true, and FILMORE is experiencing exactly how that feels right now with the release of his new single “USA.”

“This is just the beginning of what I hope is one of the craziest rides of my life,” FILMORE told Celeb Secrets reporter Blakely McHugh during the 2022 CMA Music Festival in Nashville in June.

As Americans gear up for the biggest holiday of the summer, FILMORE is dropping what’s being dubbed a “fireworks-ready summertime banger.” He’ll be taking on the red, white and blue holiday with none other than Pitbull — aka Mr. Worldwide.

“I’ll just say it — I have a song with Pitbull coming out,” he said with a smile back in June.

The country artist says the collaboration started over a year ago when he was playing at a festival in Wildwood, New Jersey. The Miami native’s manager videotaped FILMORE’s performance to send to Pitbull.

“I didn’t believe it… the next thing you know, Pitbull contacted me and wanted to be part of one song that really spoke to him.”

That song is “USA,” and it’s officially available on all streaming platforms beginning today (July 1).

“It’s not overly patriotic. It’s basically just a flex, like we have more fun than anywhere else in the world and we’re proud to have it,” the artist said while explaining the premise of the song.

This isn’t the first time Pitbull has dipped his toe in country music. In 2019, he collaborated with Blake Shelton to release “Get Ready” and most recently teamed up with Zac Brown for the track, “Can’t Stop Us Now.” He also played at the Tortuga Music Festival in Fort Lauderdale last November, which is a three-day music fest on the beach showcasing some of Country music’s top artists of the year.

It’s also not the first time the Hispanic artists have worked together either. In March 2021, FILMORE, whose name is Tyler Filmore, shared with iHeartCountry that he had an “outrageous” experience performing with Pitbull and Blake Shelton.

He said his dream collab would be with Pitbull, sharing “we’ve already played a show together, so I feel like now we need a song.”

Since working together, the 33-year-old says the “Fireball” singer has been a “helpful adversary” and an “amazing influence.”

FILMORE’s biggest takeaway from Mr. 305 is his entrepreneurial spirit.

“I’ve seen how he runs his business, and I think that’s super inspiring,” he said. “Watching the way that he is just an entrepreneur is exactly what I want to move forward into as I get more success as an artist.”

FILMORE has been performing the song out on the road for a year now, and will perform it for the first time with Pitbull on NBC’s 46th annual Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular on Monday, July 4.

Aside from that, the “Who Cares” artist is working on releasing a lot more music. He plans to drop another 30 songs, including features, before the year is over. That’s more than a song a week!

He also hopes to have his first radio single as a writer.

“I love music and I got really tired of everything sitting in a shoebox,” FILMORE said. “It’s like, I might as well get all these out there because nothing bad has ever happened by putting music out.”
