Co-produced by Scooter Braun’s SB Projects, The BeatBuds, Let’s Jam! is a 10-episode series that follows the musical adventures of rock ‘n’ roll duo and best friends Jonny and Matty as they travel to their big concert, The BeatBASH. As they journey to the show in The Beat Bus, they have awesome fun-filled experiences making new friends and performing their songs with everyone and everything they encounter.

Jonny Jonah and Matty Shapiro are actually real-life best friends and musicians, and their passion is to create and perform rocking children’s music designed for the whole family to enjoy. Through educationally based, catchy tunes and an interactive music experience, the ‘Buds seamlessly entertain, educate, and bring families together to create memories that last a lifetime.
The guys have been performing as a duo (most of the time—vocals, guitar and drums) at schools, museums, bookstores, libraries, playrooms, malls, charity events, birthday parties and more, bringing a band-like approach to events and getting kids involved in the music experience. As a result, they have garnered quite a loyal cult following and celebrity clientele in their hometown of Los Angeles and outlying areas.
We recently spoke with the best friends and musical partners about the concept of making the music for The BeatBuds, Let’s Jam!, the inspiration behind the series, and their most memorable moment when a friend was there for them, plus much more.
