The moment we’ve all been waiting for is a little closer than we think. Halsey just announced that they are releasing their fourth studio album in the near future!
The 26-year-old Grammy-nominated singer shared the news on social media yesterday (June 28), showing a billboard that featured the title of the project: If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power.
They tagged Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross in the post, giving the duo credit for their stellar production on the upcoming record. For those of you who aren’t familiar with Trent and Atticus, the duo are members of the rock group Nine Inch Nails and are the masterminds behind the Soul soundtrack among many others. Winning an Oscar in March for their work on Soul, Reznor and Ross know what they are doing in the producing realm and their expertise is bound to contribute to an incredible album with Halsey.
Reznor and Ross also posted the billboard on their Instagram account with the same caption.
Fans and other famous faces have been anxiously waiting for new music from the “You Should Be Sad” singer, as Halsey’s comments exploded with excitement from stars like Katy Perry, Olivia Rodrigo, Sydney Sweeney, Grimes, among others.

With no release date set just yet, If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power is the follow-up to their third-studio album Maniac, which was certified Platinum in the US shortly after its initial release in 2020. They also announced a massive world tour before the pandemic, however, it was canceled amid the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic that hit the world in March 2020. “Safety is priority,” they shared in a statement regarding the cancellation. I wish things were different. I love you. Dreaming of seeing your faces again. Despite our absolute best efforts, there is no guarantee that I’ll be able to tour the currently scheduled dates.”
Unfortunately, Halsey was never able to bring the Maniac Tour to the US, as it was brought to a halt after about a dozen shows in Europe. The original dates were supposed to begin in June 2020 and were then postponed to summer 2021, according to Variety. We had the chance to see what the Manic Tour would have been like when the 26-year-old headlined Pandora’s Live concert series in Brooklyn in December 2019. Halsey is now pregnant with their first child and will be spending their time raising their baby before hitting the road again for another tour.
