HBO Max has renewed the original series, And Just Like That… for its second season. Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) brings on another chapter of the HBO original series of Sex and the City, by executive producer Michael Patrick King. We transition from the complicated life the 30s bring along to larger complications of life in their 50s. Not only do the best friends encounter a bumpy road in their love lives, but also their friendship.

The cast, including Charlotte’s love, Harry Goldenblatt (Evan Handler), and her best friend Anthony Marantino (Mario Cantone) shared their excitement after hearing the news of the show’s renewal.
Evan Handler reposted the video announcement, with the tweet, “I’m telling you 45 minutes after they told me…”
And Just Like That… season 1’s cast included Parker, Nixon, and Davis, along with Sara Ramírez, Sarita Choudhury, Nicole Ari Parker, Karen Pittman, Chris Noth, Mario Cantone, David Eigenberg, Willie Garson, and Evan Handler.
Fans were upset and confused after Kim Cattrall‘s iconic character, Samantha did not return. Although her character was not physically on the show, the trio brought her up through the season, and other guests on the show asking where the “third musketeer” was. After a couple of failed attempts reaching out to Samantha and not hearing from her, Carrie decides to try again and finally hears from her. The friends reconnect but only keep in touch through text.
At the end of episode 10, Carrie gains the courage to travel alone to Paris for Mr. Big’s ashes to be spread. Samantha is supposedly somewhere in Europe, and Carrie attempts to meet up with her. The episode ends with Carrie asking her through a text “to meet for a cocktail,” to which Samantha responds with, “How’s tomorrow night?” teasing her anticipated return.
In a press release, King says, “I am delighted and excited to tell more stories about these vibrant, bold characters – played by these powerful, amazing actors. The fact is, we’re all thrilled. And Just like That… our Sex life is back.”
