Emblem3 had no other choice, but to postpone their show at Irving Plaza due to the heartbreaking events that took place earlier this week.
On Wednesday (May 25), Troy Ave shot himself in the leg and then proceeded to turn the trigger onto others prior to rapper T.I.‘s performance. With one person dead, Troy (whose real name is Roland Collins) was one of the four people who were injured in the shooting. Collins was charged with attempted murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
The trio – Drew Chadwick, Keaton Stromberg, and Wesley Stromberg – have since released a statement about their decision to reschedule their show. Check it out:
Due to the heartbreaking events that took place at Irving Plaza on Wednesday night, through unforeseen circumstances, the venue will be rescheduling this weekend’s Emblem3 concert for Monday, June 27th. Keaton, Wesley, and Drew send their sincerest condolences to the victims and their families. “Our hearts go out to those at Irving Plaza this week. We love our fans so much.
