Let’s get loud because Jennifer Lopez is releasing a new documentary titled, Halftime.
The 52-year-old announced on social media today (April 13) that the film will premiere at the opening night of the Tribeca Film Festival on June 8th. The film will then officially be released to fans on Netflix on June 14th.
According to the film festival, Halftime “follows global superstar Jennifer Lopez as she reflects on her milestones and evolution as an artist and continues to entertain, empower, and inspire.”
Halftime, directed by Amanda Mitchell, will premiere just a few subway stops from the entertainer’s hometown of The Bronx, as its set to take place at the United Palace in the Manhattan neighborhood of Washington Heights.
Lopez has had an eventful few years performing at the Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime Show, the Inauguration, and recently getting engaged to Ben Affleck. Although the documentary won’t show her romance with Affleck, it will give fans a behind-the-scenes look at her Super Bowl LIV performance with Shakira.
The film will showcase the hard work and effort Lopez puts in daily to have such a successful career that spans years. Ultimately, making her the legend that she is!
