John Mayer dropped a new music video for his single “Last Train Home.” The song will appear on his upcoming album, Sob Rock, which is set to release on July 16th.

“Last Train Home” is typical of Mayer’s work. The strong guitar presence, comforting melodies, and soft vocals remind audiences of older albums such as Room for Squares.
Music video directors, Cameron Duddy and Harper Smith captured Mayer and his band recording a live performance. Singer Maren Morris also makes an appearance. Most notable is the beautiful pink guitar the singer uses, a color that stands out from the brass color palette used in the rest of the clip.
Sob Rock will be Mayer’s first album in four years. Come August 16th, the singer and his band will begin their North American tour – starting in Raleigh, North Carolina.
In January of 2022, Mayer will continue his annual tradition of playing in the Sand residency. The three-night performance will take place at the Riviera Cancun in Mexico.
The talented heartthrob has garnered fan attention through his TikTok presence and continues to post teasers for the upcoming album.
