The Jungle Book dominated the box office for the third weekend in a row! With over $42.2 million, the Disney live-action movie successfully pulled ahead of the three newly released Keanu, Mother’s Day and Ratchet & Clank.
This winning streak is expected to be broken next week when Captain America: Civil War debuts.
The Huntsman: Winter’s War took second with $9.39 million and Key and Peele’s Keanu debuted in third place. The R-rated comedy follows the two comedians who infiltrate a gang in hopes of retrieving a kidnapped kitten.
Jennifer Aniston and Julia Roberts Mother’s Day failed to meet industry expectations of $12 million and debuted fourth with $8.3 million.
My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2, Compadres and The Hologram For the King fell out of the top 10.
