Katy Perry Is ‘Women of Wonder’ As She Graces L’Officiel Magazine’s Latest Cover

L’Officiel Magazine just named Katy Perry as their Summer 2021 cover star and to no surprise, she looks absolutely stunning.

The new mom, sat down with the glossy to talk about how she’s living her best life after finding work-life balance, raising her beautiful daughter Daisy Dove Bloom, her upcoming Las Vegas residency, and whats to come from her later this year.

“I don’t feel like I have to be ‘on’ anymore, and I think that’s because I’ve figured out both my professional and personal lives. I’ve weaved them together to be a full-fledged functioning human…of sorts,” she tells L’Officiel.

The 36-year-old adds that becoming a mom has allowed her to live life and create music without expectations, fearing failure or comparing herself to other artists. It also allowed her to breathe and self-reflect on how fulfilling it can be to just be yourself and love exactly where you are in the moment.

“When you have a child, you have someone who looks at you and doesn’t know anything on your resume, doesn’t know anything about your bank account, doesn’t know anything, doesn’t care, and just loves you,” she says. “Unconditional love. It’s just…everything I think I was looking for.”

The “Electric” singer also admits that her daughter led to her feeling a sense of wholeness as she tells L’Officel,  “I always felt like I was walking around with a little bit of pain in my heart concerning love and my fiancé has done a great job at really helping to mend that. But this just went underneath all that and got so deep. It’s just there, that love is there.”

As for music and her upcoming Las Vegas residency, the string of shows will be the first she’s held since the Coronavirus pandemic hit the world last March. She tells the magazine, “I know that when I go back on the stage, I’m going to do my best and give it my all as I always do with my projects. I’ve been professionally busy since I was 13, and now I’ve really stopped to smell the roses.”

Although we may not know what her setlist will look like just yet, we are hoping to hear our favorite songs from her such as “Never Really Over,” “Chained to the Rhythm”, “This Is How We Do,” and “Roar,” along with classics such as “California Dreams,” “Hot and Cold,” “Firework” and “Last Friday Night (TGIF).”

What does Katy Perry say she wants to do next?

Katy gives the magazine a glimpse of her future plans as she tells them, “I’ve always had this dream of going to school and learning either about psychology or a combination of psychology and philosophy. And I know once I get into an educational program and a structure, I’ll see all these subjects that I want to learn about. I know that’s something in the future for me, but Vegas definitely comes first.”
