KayBe is gearing up for the release of her new single “All I Ever Wanted” and Celeb Secrets has your first listen!
The haunting Americana-pop ballad features an earnest melody and passionate lyrics that gives the listener their own interpretation of what they truly want in life.
“‘All I Ever Wanted’ is on the surface another song about longing for a lover, which, on its own, is a wonderful thing seeing as love is what makes the world go around,” KayBe tells Celeb Secrets.
“When I wrote the song I just kept thinking of all the little things I heard people say, ‘I wish it would rain,’ ‘I wish I had a little bit more money,’ ‘I wish I didn’t have to work so much,’ ‘I wish I could work more,’, and while I’ve probably uttered all those things more than once, I thought about what I really wanted,” adding, “I also wrote this song with the idea that the lyric ‘you’, the subject, does not necessarily need to be a person, but something else; something more. What do we desire in life? What are our dreams? Aspirations? Perhaps a lover, but also maybe a dream? A passion? A goal? World Peace? Happiness? It all works. Be true to yourself, true to the Lord and true to your values and go and get your dreams.”
“All I Ever I Wanted” is the follow up to her previously released single “I Fall in Love,” a classic and timelessly romantic ballad about her then boyfriend turned fiancé.
“[‘I Fall in Love’] was inspired by the constant butterflies and ceaseless joy I STILL get to this day,” KayBe shares. “I remember hearing people say, ‘enjoy the ‘honeymoon’ phase while it lasts.’ I sat down at my piano on cloud nine and thought to myself, ‘how could that be? I fall in love over and over again.’ And every time it is deeper, but always true… ever changing, learning, growing, and thriving.”
KayBe grew up in St. Louis, Missouri and moved from Nashville to Los Angeles in 2013 to pursue a career in pop music. After a heavy hitting year of 9 single releases and 3 music videos in that pop vein, KayBe has absolutely awed and stunned her loyal fan base with the warmest Country love song ‘Sweet Love of Mine’.
KayBe has been known for her raw ability to belt and croon all at once the honest and most melodious self-written tunes over the history of her career. Only recently did we learn through her incredible journey, and strikingly improved sound, that KayBe had recently recovered from the Whooping Cough that took her vocal cords and damaged them for a full 10 years.
Through her road to recovery she has molded into a beautiful and mature artist always exuding grace, poise, class and an extreme passion for life and fervent love. KayBe has since battled another auto-immune attack on her voice and miraculously healed once again. It seems no coincidence that these attacks are poignantly charged, but makes her platform and undeniable positive demeanor and heart all the more powerful and inspiring.
KayBe continues to shine and impress with each new release, and confirms that new music is on the way soon.
