Kim Kardashian has confirmed that the rumors of her hooking up with Travis Barker are false.
Yesterday (May 26), the reality star took to her Instagram story to do a fun little Q&A with her fans. One of her fans asked, “Did you hook up with Travis Barker?” To which she replied, “NO! False narrative! We’ve been friends for years and I’m so happy for him and Kourt.”
This “false narrative” comes after Barker’s ex-wife Shannon Moakler claimed that she “caught” Kardashian and Barker having an affair while they were married in the early 2000s. Barker denied this claim, but Moakler told US Weekly, “Someone sent me all their [text] conversations and I’m also close friends with people who were there, while things were happening.”
Moakler wound up divorcing Barker in 2008 for reasons of infidelity.
Travis, whose dating Kourtney Kardashian, has previously spoken up about his relationship with Kim. In his 2015 memoir, Can I Say: Living Large, Cheating Death and Drums, Drums, Drums, he revealed that he couldn’t keep his eyes off of Kim during his trip to Amsterdam with Paris Hilton and the middle Kardashian sister.
The musician revealed, “How could you not stare at Kim? Mind you, I enjoyed hanging out with Paris, but I love curvy girls. Kim was eye candy. I was in no way disrespectful to Paris, but I couldn’t keep my eyes off Kim.”
Although he enjoyed his eye candy, he mentioned he looked, but “never touched.”
