Kim Kardashian has announced an exciting collaboration with Team USA!
On Monday (June 28), Kardashian took to Twitter and Instagram to announce that her clothing brand, SKIMS, will be designing clothes for Team USA athletes participating in the upcoming 2021 Tokyo Olympics. SKIMS will produce a collection of undergarments, pajamas, and loungewear for the athletes.
In Kardashian’s caption, she talked about how she grew up learning everything about the Olympics from her stepparent, Caitlyn Jenner.
“I traveled w my stepdad and family to all different cities for the Olympic trials, the Olympics and track meets of @caitlynjenner’s and at every stop I would buy an Olympic t-shirt as a souvenir,” she continues. “When I received the call inviting Skims to be a part of @TeamUSA 🇺🇸, every moment I’ve spent admiring the strength and energy of the Olympians from the sidelines came full circle.”
To model the items for promotional imagery, Kardashian rounded up Team USA athletes Dalilah Muhammad, Alex Morgan, Scout Bassett, A’ja Wilson, and Haley Anderson. Each athlete can be seen sporting a piece from the collection.
According to CNN, the collaboration will include a variety of neutral colored clothing such as sports bras, high-waisted briefs, shirts, cycle shorts, and more featuring the Team USA logo. A capsule collection containing the same pieces will be available for purchase on SKIMS.com on July 12th.
