Former Glee star Lea Michele remembers co-star and late boyfriend Cory Monteith, 10 years after his death in 2013.
“Hey you. 10 years. It feels like only yesterday that you were here and yet a million years ago all at the same time”, the actress captioned her post. “I hold all of our memories in my heart where they will stay safe and never be forgotten.”

Michele continued by saying that she misses Monteith and how much he was a light around everyone.
“We miss you every day and will never forget the light you to brought to us all. I miss you big guy. I hope you found Taylor up there and are playing the drums together.”
Monteith was found dead at 31 at Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel in Vancouver on July 31st. News of his unexpected death devastated fans and co-stars from all over the world. Autopsy reports later confirmed that the actor died of mixed drug toxicity, involving heroine and alcohol.
Monteith played popular football jock Finn Hudson on the hit FOX Series Glee from 2009 until his passing in 2013. Michele’s character Rachel Berry also played his on screen love intrest throughout the series. Though as time went on, their on screen chemistry eventually carried over into a real life relationship.
The pair began dating in 2011, officially debuting as a couple on their first red carpet together in 2012. Sources claimed that the couple even discussed future plans of tying the knot together later on down the line.
This isn’t the first time Michele has made tribute to Monteith’s life. The Broadway star has acknowledged her late co-star death several times before throughout social media. Just 6 years after his death near the anniversary, the star shared a photo of her “Finn” tattoo placed right above her upper left thigh. In addition the actress, also has a tattoo of the number ‘5’, a nod to the number on Monteith’s characters football jersey on “Glee.”

Romantically, the actress has since moved on marrying fashion executive Sandy Reich in April, but continues honoring Cory Monteith’s name by keeping his memory alive.
