If there’s one thing about Mac Forehand, it’s that he’s consistent. The 23-year-old skiing phenom just snagged his fourth career X Games medal, taking bronze in Men’s Ski Slopestyle at X Games Aspen 2025 on Friday (January 24).
Forehand, who thrives under pressure, threw down a technical and stylish first run, earning an 88.33—a score solid enough to hold onto third place through the final. But despite securing a podium spot, Forehand admitted he had more in the tank and wished he could’ve pushed the difficulty further.
“It was awesome. We had a stacked field of riders,” Forehand told Celeb Secrets host Juliet Schroder at the base of Buttermilk Mountain after the competition. “All the guys are such good skiers, so to be third out of all of them feels really good.”
“I definitely had more in the tank. I wanted to bring out more in that last run, so a little disappointed I couldn’t do that, but stoked that my first run got on the podium,” he continued.

The 10-man final was filled with high-energy moments, including an epic showdown between young talent and veteran competitors. All eyes were on Luca Harrington (NZL) — the 20-year-old rookie who shocked the field by qualifying first and then laying down an insane 92.33-point run to claim gold. Harrington, who only made it into the contest as an alternate the night before, became just the second-ever X Games rookie to win slopestyle gold after Colby Stevenson in 2020.
Switzerland’s Andri Ragettli, rocking an electric pink jacket, took silver with a 91.00, while Konnor Ralph (USA), another first-time competitor, landed a triple cork 1800 to finish just off the podium in fourth.

Forehand’s bronze medal adds to his already impressive X Games collection, making it four straight years he’s left Aspen with hardware.
“This is my fourth X Games medal now. I’ve got a medal every year I’ve gone to X Games, so I definitely have more pressure every year,” he said. “I’m like, ‘Alright, I gotta get another medal every year.’ So, pressure off the shoulders now—I can kinda relax.”
Looking ahead, Forehand’s season is far from over.
“We have a World Cup here after, then we go to Quebec, France, and Switzerland, so we have a lot more events this season. We’re only halfway done right now, so yeah… got a lot more to look forward to.”
And when it comes to pre-competition rituals? His secret weapon is a sentimental one.
“I’m wearing my great-grandmother’s gold chain right now. I got it for my birthday this year, so it’s kind of been like an heirloom that I’ve been wearing a bunch. Other than that, I just try to breathe a lot, don’t get too amped up, and just take my time,” the Red Bull athlete gushed.
With a packed schedule ahead and momentum on his side, expect Forehand to keep pushing the limits in 2025. One thing’s for sure — he’s not slowing down anytime soon.
