Maroon 5 is headed to the Super Bowl.
The band is reportedly performing on the 2019 Super Bowl LIII Half Time Show, according to Billboard. Special guests have not been announced yet, but Cardi B and Travis Scott are on the short list.
While a rep for the band declined to comment in a statement, the NFL said, “It’s a Super Bowl tradition to speculate about the performers for the Pepsi Halftime Show. We are continuing to work with Pepsi on our plans but do not have any announcements to make on what will be another epic show.”
Should this be true, it has been a longtime dream for Maroon 5 to perform at the Super Bowl Half Time Show. During a 2015 interview with Howard Stern, Adam Levine admitted that the band “very actively wants to play the Super Bowl.”
The 2019 Super Bowl will take place on February 3rd at the new Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, GA.
