Ever since Season 25 of The Bachelor came to a dramatic end, Bachelor Nation has not heard from Matt James. So in true reality TV fashion, dating rumors began to circulate about a blonde mystery girl that James has allegedly been entertaining. The name of the “lucky lady” is Heather Martin – Hannah Brown’s best friend who crashed the latest season of The Bachelor. After quarantining at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort in Pennsylvania, James sent her home quickly after her introduction.
Therefore, the shocking dating rumors broke the Internet and had TikTokers investigating. The relationship rumors started early March, before the Bachelor Finale. Bachelor Nation noticed that Martin was cut from “The Women Tell All” segment and TikTok user @morgantalks, pointed out that James and Martin were in San Clemente, California at the same time according to their Instagram location tag.

Yet, on April 5 the stunning blonde put the rumors to rest on The Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous Podcast announcing that they are not dating and claiming that the Instagram location incident was a “total coincidence.”
“I mean, San Clemente is, like 30 minutes from me,” says Martin to hosts Ben Higgins and Ashley Iaconetti. “My best girlfriend lives there, so I’m in San Clemente all the time. I guess he was there, too.”
Martin believes that Matt James has been busy figuring out post-Bachelor life. “I think he has a lot going on in his life. You know, he’s going through a ton. I can’t even imagine… so many different aspects of the show, just everything. So, I think he has a lot going on right now. So, no, I’m not dating Matt,” she adds.
Just hours after Martin officially turned down the dating rumors, TV blogger Reality Steve took to Twitter to reveal a recent spotting of Matt James and ex-girlfriend Rachael Kirkconnell rekindling their relationship in New York City.

While Steve did not share what the two were talking about or doing – we are curious to see what the future holds for the biracial couple. As we wait to see their current relationship unfold, let’s remember the challenging conversation between James and Kirkconnell at the “After The Final Rose” special and her racially insensitive actions/images that surfaced.
During the heavy, but necessary conversation, James mentioned that the lack of self-awareness was the reason for the breakup in the first place. He also shared that he couldn’t help her until she helped herself and grow as an individual.
