We don’t know what made us worthy of receiving the Thor: Love and Thunder trailer today, but we’re so thankful for Marvel Studios rn.
The film, directed by Taika Waititi, dives into what Thor is up to after Avengers: Endgame. In the trailer, Thor, played by Chris Hemsworth, seems to be on a trip of self-journey attempting to truly find himself.
Thor says, “These hands were once used for battle, now they’re but humble tools for peace.”
After all the loss and madness that unfolded in Avengers: Endgame, Thor just wants to be able to make his own path. Thor even goes as far as saying that his superhero days are over.

Fans also see the Guardians of the Galaxy group without Gamora, who they lost in Avengers: Infinity War. Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) even gives some heartfelt advice as Thor is on his self-journey saying, “If you ever feel lost, just look into the eyes of the people you love.”
The clip starts to end, but not before fans get a quick look at Natalie Portman as a new Thor wielding the mjölnir.

Although, in the trailer, it looks like Thor may be done with being a superhero, we have a feeling he will be called back to be the mighty God of Thunder.
You can see what happens in Thor: Love and Thunder when it is released in theaters on July 8th.
We will be counting down the days until then! What do you think of the first trailer of Thor: Love and Thunder? Let us know by either leaving a reaction below or by tweeting us at @CelebSecrets!
