Celeb Secrets: What is the story behind your single “Try It”?

Sabryna: “My producer Hnnbl came to me with this production idea, and I absolutely loved it. It’s the perfect summertime vibe, so I knew I had to write a song that reflected that. “Try It” is about seizing the day and not letting an opportunity pass you by. I wrote it with one of my best friends, Rollo Spreckley. We actually go way back to high school, and we have been writing songs together since we were 15. So, being able to write this record with him was really special.”

Celeb Secrets: You’re seen eating pizza on the artwork for “Try It”, what is your favorite pizza topping?

Sabryna: “I’m old school… Pepperoni all day everyday! But hey I’m down to “try” anything…. see what I did there?”

Celeb Secrets: A lot of artists are very reluctant to give out their phone number whereas you have it posted publicly. What inspired the idea to give your fans the opportunity to text you?

Sabryna: “I just wanted a closer and more personal connection to my fans. I was definitely nervous about making my number public, but so far, the reaction has been amazing! And I’m so glad I did. Most people don’t believe it’s actually me at first.. but I promise you it’s really me!! I love being able to have personal conversations with my fans and get to know them. They mean so much to me and [they] have genuinely become my friends.”

Celeb Secrets: Besides being a singer, you’re also the president of an independent label. How do you manage to do both?

Sabryna: “It’s tough! Finding a balance between being an artist and a businesswoman is definitely an ongoing challenge for me. Some days are easier than others, but I LOVE it. I wouldn’t have it any other way. I love the freedom and control I have over my career, and it’s allowed me to become the artist I’ve always dreamed of being. And surprisingly enough, being so educated and involved on the business side has actually made me a better creative. Luckily I also have an awesome team who helps me too.”

Celeb Secrets: On your YouTube channel, you’re seen doing a ton of “Try It” challenges. What was the hardest one you’ve done so far?

Sabryna: “Hands down the “Face full of Rhine Stone” challenge. I had glue stuck to my face for DAYS. I was walking around looking like I had some sort of terrible skin disease. That stuff did not want to come off!! It may have been the most painful, but it was my favorite challenge. I had waaaaay too much fun filming it.”

Now that your single is out, when can we expect an album?

Sabryna: “Sooner than you think! I plan on putting out a few singles and then an EP this summer… I’m really excited about it. I don’t wanna give too much away… but I will say that Madonna was a big inspiration for this project.”

Celeb Secrets: Who are your biggest musical inspirations?

Sabryna: “Madonna, Beyoncé, Katy Perry, Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato. I find myself drawn to strong female artists who have a message and a purpose with their artistry and music!!”

Celeb Secrets: Since we are Celeb Secrets, do you have any secrets or hidden talents that your fans may not know about?

Sabryna: “My hidden talent is that I can do any accent… Actually, it’s not that hidden because you’ll hear me talking in a different accent every chance I get! My friends get really annoyed with me. My favorite accent is a southern accent… It makes any topic entertaining. I could talk about taxes in a southern accent, and it would be entertaining.”
