Netflix’s Ginny & Georgia Renewed for Season 2

It’s officialNetflix has renewed Ginny & Georgia for a second season.

All the main stars of the wildly successful mother-daughter dramedy came together (virtually, of course) to release an announcement about the show’s future direction. Based on their enthusiasm, it seems like the upcoming plot will continue to honor all the fast-paced and family-oriented moments we saw in season one.

In the Instagram clip that went public around 1PM ET on Monday (April 19), cast members revealed fans can expect the usual: crazy high school dance parties, sneaky teens climbing through windows and more madness.

On top of all these promises, die hard Ginny & Georgia fans surely remember the last season wrapped up with a cliff-hanger that left us demanding answers ASAP. Our minds frantically raced with questions like: Will MANG ever reunite? What about the strained relationship between Ginny and Georgia that only seems to get worse as Ginny learns more about her mom’s dark past? Only time will tell.

Although we have no idea how these heated conflicts among friends and family will unfold, there’s certainly a lot to anticipate in all the upcoming episodes.

The announcement video opens with a shot of Brianne Howey (a.k.a. the actress behind “Georgia”) as she welcomes viewers with her classic line: “Hey, peaches!” Her upbeat southern accent already makes it clear that something big is coming soon.

As the video progresses and the news drops, we hear more details from a line-up of the show’s top talent which includes Antonia Gentry, Diesel La Torraca, Felix Mallard and Sara Waisglass, to name a few. The stars even express their immense gratitude, crediting their massive success to all the supportive fans out there.

The touching conclusion points back to a classic line from the MANG squad as Howey exclaims “love you, mean it!” Then, Waisglass chimes in to say “hate you, kidding” and it’s a wrap.
