New Music Friday: Beyoncé AND Taylor Swift Drop New Songs This Week

New Music Friday is here. Call in sick, cancel your weekend plans, stay in on on the couch because this one is big.

Queen Bey says bon voyage to her 2023 summer Renaissance World Tour by delivering brand new awe-inspiring song “My House” today (December 1) to coincide with the release of her part-documentary, part-concert film Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé

She speaks in the spoken-word portion, “I will always love you, but I will never expect you to love me when you don’t love yourself,” she says. Let’s heal the world, one beautiful action at a time, this is real love.”

Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé is a concert-documentary paying homage to her Renaissance World Tour that took place over the summer and notes appearances by her mother Tina Knowles, daughter Blue Ivy Carter and husband Jay-Z.

Also this week, Taylor Swift surprised dropped “You’re Losing Me (From The Vault)” on all digital streaming platforms and we are not ok. Before, you could only get it by purchasing the Midnights CD at the Eras Tour, but now you can listen to it wherever you play music, giving us the ultimate Christmas gift we never knew we needed until now.

Swift confesses, “Um ok this is unreal?? I just wanted to say to anyone who listened to my music this year, anywhere in the world, thank you. Getting named Spotify’s Global Top Artist in 2023 is truly the best birthday/holiday gift you could’ve given me. We’ve seriously had THE MOST fun this year out there on tour and now this. Are you serious. So I was trying to think of a way to thank you, and a lot of you have been asking me to put “You’re Losing Me (From The Vault)” on streaming… so here you go! You can finally listen EVERYWHERE now.

Besides Beyoncé and Tay Tay, Tyla, Slayyyter, Clinton Kane, P!nk, Dylan Conrique, Jonah Kagen, Tai Verdes, Arden Jones, Lana Del Rey, YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Declan McKenna, Sadie Jean and Sam Fischer have all released bangers that we are obsessed with.

A number of FIRE collaborations also dropped this week including Flo Milli and Lil Yachty’s “Never Lose Me” BigXthaPlug and Offset’s “Climate” and Sean Leon and Jessie Reyez’s “DISHONORED.”

Former Disney songstress Dove Cameron released Alchemical: Volume 1, bursting with edgy lyricism and high-strung themes. The hand-crafted alt-pop assemblage shares a glimpse into Cameron’s backstory as the singer told PEOPLE that the album making process was “emotional spring cleaning.”
