Happy New Music Friday, fam!
The weekend is officially upon us and we have a ton of new summer tunes to keep us in a good mood while we’re getting through these tough times.
To no surprise, Beyoncé is topping our New Music Friday playlist this week as she just gifted the world a new “visual” album Black Is King/The Lion King: The Gift [Deluxe Version]. The record serves as a companion to last year’s The Lion King: The Gift and is streaming exclusively on Disney+. While the songs on the album features a lot of previously released tracks, the visual aspects make Queen B’s voice heard in a time where using your voice truly matters.
Billie Eilish is alive and well during the Coronavirus pandemic, as she’s been using this time to make more music. The young superstar broke the Internet at midnight when she released her song “My Future,” which singlehandedly earned the second spot on our weekly playlist. Other buzzworthy songs that are worth listening to this week come from Sam Smith; Dan + Shay; A$AP Ferg, Nicki Minaj and MadeInTYO; Bryce Vine, The Vamps, Nessa Barrett and Ava Max.
