New Music Friday: Collaborations from Elton John and Britney Spears, Pharrell Williams and Travis Scott, Cheat Codes and Mackenzie Porter and More

Hold Me Closer,” the smash hit by Elton John and Britney Spears, has officially gone acoustic!

After the song topped the charts AND served as Spears’ first new material in six years, “Hold Me Closer – Acoustic” is available now on all music streaming platforms.

Accompanied by a therapeutic music video featuring an incredibly talented figure skater, the track has a much different vibe than the original version. Being an entirely acoustic rendition, Elton John’s brilliant piano skills can be heard clearly throughout the song, and we are OBSESSED!

Aside from Elton John and Britney Spears coming together once again, this week’s New Music Friday is stacked with even more collaborations from some of our favorite stars!

Some of these collaborations include “Down in Atlanta” by Pharrell Williams and Travis Scott, “One Night Left” by Cheat Codes and Mackenzie Porter, “Trap Still Bumpin” by Blanco Brown and T.I., “High Note” by Dierks Bentley and Billy Strings, “Better Version” by FLETCHER featuring Kelsea Ballerini, “Help” by Bryce Vine featuring Pheelz, “Twin” by Roddy Ricch featuring Lil Durk and more.

Some incredible solo singles were released as well, such as “Do It Right” by Don Toliver, “The Good Parts” by JP Saxe, “The DJ Is Crying For Help” by AJR, “Eyes On You” by Nicky Youre, “Crumbs” by Rebecca Black, “Florida Strong” by Brian Kelley and more.

In addition to this, Olivia O’Brien dropped TWO singles at once titled “What Are We” and “Gone Girl,” and they are both soon-to-be hits!

Aside from fire new singles, there were several albums/EPs dropped that we can’t wait to stream over and over again! Saweetie came out with THE SINGLE LIFE, Nickelback with Get Rollin’ and BROCKHAMPTON with TWO albums: The Family and TM.

Nessa Barrett even released an extended version of her hit album young forever, adding “deathmatch,” “do you really want to hurt me?,” “god’s favorite,” “505” and “noose” to the tracklist.

After lots and lots of debate, we compiled a list of our favorite releases from this weeks New Music Friday playlist below! Let us know what you think of our picks by either leaving a reaction at the bottom of the post, or by sending us a tweet at @celebsecrets.
