The unofficial kickoff to summer is officially here, and there’s no better way to celebrate than with new music!
Today (May 24), Zach Bryan is cherishing the memories of loved ones in his latest single, “Pink Skies,” ultimately topping our New Music Friday playlist.
The songsmith has been taking to social media to share pieces of information regarding his forthcoming project, previously announced as The Great American Bar Scene. It’s composed of 16 songs and a poem and describes the project as “a slow one” sounding like a “depressed and hopeful summer vacation.”
He continued, “Guys I’m teasing no body, I write and record music reckless and fast, just got the record finished so it’ll be dropped on someone’s head any day now. I truly want to just say thank you for being so kind and patient, I’m really freaking grateful lately.”
But that isn’t our only favorite from the day.
A couple of projects came out today that we’re highly obsessed with, including Travis Denning‘s Roads That Go Nowhere, Vincent Mason‘s Can’t Just Be Me, Owen Riegling‘s Bruce County and Zach John King‘s Wannabe Cowboy to name a few, and a few stellar collaborations including one from Denning’s Roads That Go Where with HARDY titled “Southern Rock,” Chris Stapleton new rendition of “Think I’m In Love With You” with pop star Dua Lipa, Chase Bryant and Jake Owen‘s “Where The Good Ones Go” and T. Graham Brown and Randy Houser‘s cover of “(Sittin’ On) The Dock of the Bay.”
Other artists that have released music today that we’ve included in this week’s New Music Friday playlist are Bailey Zimmerman, The Red Clay Strays, Midland, Uncle Kracker, Jamey Johnson, 49 Winchester, Lauren Watkins, Adam Doleac; plus more soon-to-be hits from newcomers Tucker Wetmore, Smithfield, Shaylen, Sarabeth Taite, Harper Grace, Colin Stough, Lanie Gardner, Eli Winders and Sheyna Gee.
