New Music Friday: Nicki Minaj’s Feud With Megan Thee Stallion in New Song “Big Foot”

TGIF!! However, we’re not sure if Nicki Minaj and Megan Thee Stallion are enjoying today. We are, because it’s New Music Friday.

Are you keeping up with the tea? Just three days after Stallion released “HISS“, Minaj released “Big Foot” which is speculated to be a clap back at the “Her” singer after posting many social media posts claiming that the song is a diss at her. Fans speculate that the lyrics hint at rappers Minaj, Drake and Tory Lanez, who shot Stallion in the foot.

Fans speculate that the lyric – “These hoes don’t be mad at Megan, these hoes mad at Megan’s Law” – is in reference to Minaj’s husband, Kenneth Petty, who is on the sex offenders list. The rapper dropped her diss song in response with a lyric – “she like six foot, I call her Big Foot” – in reference to the shooting… Yikes.

This week’s New Music Friday playlist also featured more FIRE releases from our favorites, including Don Toliver‘s “Bandit“, 24kGoldn‘s “Clarity“, Ayra Starr‘s “Commas“, Billy Joel‘s “Turn The Lights Back On“, BADBADNOTGOOD‘s “Take What’s Given“, Tones And I‘s “Dreaming“, Bendigo Fletcher‘s “Upcountry Lemonade“, Hannah Grae‘s “Better Now You’re Gone“, Shinedown‘s “A Symptom Of Being Human (Live)“, Yot Club‘s “Pixel“, Nothing But Thieves‘ “Oh No :: He Said What?“, The Warning‘s “S!CK” and Cold War Kids‘ “Heaven In Your Hands“.

London-based band The Last Dinner Party released their highly-anticipated twelve-track debut album, Prelude to Ecstasy, and actress Kate Hudson released her FIRST EVER single, “Talk About Love.” Hudson shared in a statement, “I wanted it to be open and seeking, searching to find something powerful. But I also wanted the music to be the rock, the pop, the dance music and even a bit of the alternative records I love. It was a lot put into one song, but thankfully, I had some wonderful people working with me. And so, here we are!”
